3. For difficult to remove stains, make a solution of water and white distilled vinegar and scrub the area using a soft cloth. White vinegar is a mild acid and is extremely helpful in cleaning hard water stains from galvanized metal. To use it in a different manner, the vinegar solution can be poured into a spray bottle to apply it to a huge area.
4. Then rinse this off carefully with hot water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Ensure that no soap is left on the metal.
5. Apply a light coat of metal polish or paste wax to the dried surface of the galvanized metal to guarantee that it remains shining and spotless through the years. Place the wax directly using a lint free cloth and cover the whole area in a circular motion. Warning:
It is not advised to use abrasive cleaners on galvanized metal because they dull the galvanized metal surface. As much as possible, do not also use commercial “hard-water” cleaners because they have high levels of Hydrochloric acid (HCI) which can melt the zinc oxide surface coating on galvanized metal.
